Gunn Attacks 'Desperate' Aniston

Project Runway host Tim Gunn has branded actress Jennifer Aniston "desperate".
The former Friends star recently split with rocker John Mayer, and has been photographed in New York and Los Angeles looking carefree.
But U.S. style king Gunn believes Aniston is hiding behind her wardrobe.
He tells America's Ok! magazine, "Sometimes I think she has 'desperate character' written on her. The clothes we wear send a message. And I think that's the message - I don't think that's her intention though.
"She's a gorgeous woman and she understands her fashion. I can't help but think that's she's pretty high-maintenance."
Doherty Rules Out Cosmetic Surgery

Actress Shannen Doherty has vowed not to undergo cosmetic surgery to change her looks - because she refuses to conform to Hollywood's rigid standards of beauty.
The 37-year-old star admits she feels pressure in to fit in with Tinseltown's flawless starlets, but insists she has resisted the urge to change her own image.
She says, "These are my looks, whether you like them or not. They work for me. I have a gap in the middle of my teeth. You know how many people wanted to cover that gap?
"My parents are like, 'Don't ever do that! That's what makes you different!' I was raised to have a lot of confidence and believe in myself."
Lohan 'Wants Olympic Date'

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been pleading with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps for a date.
The actress - who is rumoured to be dating DJ Samantha Ronson - is said to have bombarded the U.S. gold medal winner with calls and text messages asking him to take her out.
And his cool response hasn't put her off - because the more he ignores her, the harder she tries.
A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "At first he thought it was a joke when she got in touch. But she's since been phoning and texting constantly.
"It's become a running joke in his camp. Lindsay has been trying to meet up with him. They're both going to the MTV Video Music Awards next month so they'll be sure to see each other properly then.
"Phelps is certainly flattered by all the attention but it's not clear how seriously he's taking it all."
Reubens Denies CSI Role

Actor Paul Reubens has denied reports he will make a return to TV opposite Laurence Fishburne in hit U.S. show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The Pee-wee Herman star was rumoured to have been recruited by Fishburne after the actor was cast in the series to replace William Petersen earlier this month.
A source tells the National Enquirer that Fishburne wanted Reubens "to play... a psychopathic killer after something goes horribly wrong in his life," in a bid to help the actor revive his career, adding, "The only person who can possibly reach him is Fishburne."
But Reubens' spokesperson Carrie Byalick has denied the reports, telling WENN: "That story is false."
Latifah To Adopt?

Queen Latifah has reportedly made plans to start a family by adopting a child from her native U.S.
The Chicago star announced in June her plans to start a family, telling reporters it would "happen eventually".
But according to National Enquirer, the 38-year-old is ready to become a first-time mum by adopting a child from America.
Latifah - real name Dana Owens - has spoke to the publication about adopting, but would not confirm if she was going ahead with the plans.
She says, "I can understand why people go outside the U.S. You can adopt someone here, and the birth parents have three years to come back and get that child. That's terrifying.
"(American children) can use just as much assistance as someone from around the world. I want to do something here."
Latifah has always remained tight-lipped about her personal life, despite repeated claims she is dating her female personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins.
However, a source tells the National Enquirer the pair "are hoping to have a little one by Christmas."
Aniston To Guest Star On 30 Rock

Actress Jennifer Aniston is set to make a return to the small screen with a stint on hit U.S. TV show 30 Rock.
The Friends star will make a guest appearance in one upcoming episode of the comedy show, which stars Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey.
A spokesperson for Aniston confirms: "She is shooting now. We are not giving out any specifics on her character."
The actress' episode is scheduled to air later this year.
Her former Friends co-star David Schwimmer also guested on the series in 2007.
Pelicano Convicted Of Federal Wiretapping Conspiracy Charges

The Hollywood private detective charged with breaking laws to get his high-profile clients information they needed for legal assaults has been convicted of federal wiretapping conspiracy charges.
Anthony Pellicano and entertainment lawyer Terry Christensen each face up to 10 years behind bars when they're sentenced in November.
Pellicano was also convicted of wiretapping and Christensen was convicted of aiding and abetting a wiretap.
The pair was accused of secretly recording phone conversations of billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian's ex-wife, Lisa Bonder Kerkorian, in an effort to disprove her claims that the businessman was the father of her daughter.
Pelicano was convicted of federal racketeering and other charges in May.
Comedian Chris Rock and top Hollywood agent Michael Ovitz were among those who testified at the Pellicano trial, which began in February.
Both admitted to hiring the private detective but insisted they had no idea about his illegal practices.
Gone With The Wind Stuntwoman Dead At 93

The woman who was Vivien Leigh's stunt double in 1939 epic Gone With The Wind has died.
Hazel Warp stood in for Leigh in all the horseback-riding scenes in the classic and helped to train the horses used in the film.
She also tumbled down the stairs of Scarlett O'Hara's Tara home in a pivotal role in the film.
The 93 year old also featured in beloved movies like Wuthering Heights and Ben-Hur.
It's the second Gone With The Wind-related death in as many weeks - actor Fred Crane, who played one of Scarlett O'Hara's suitors in the movie, passed away on 21 August.
Madsen Still Scarred By Bloodrayne Movie

Hollywood tough guy Michael Madsen will think twice before signing up to star in another Uwe Boll movie after getting a taste of the German director's bizarre film techniques on the set of Bloodrayne.
The Reservoir Dogs star thought he'd worked with the strangest guys in the business before he signed on to play a part in Boll's "crazy" action film in Romania.
Madsen was left with a series of injuries and was attacked by gnats and bees on the jungle set of the 2005 film - but it was Boll's collection of stunt horses that caused him the biggest headaches.
He tells WENN, "He put me on some crazy Romanian horses. I've done a little riding and I knew the second I got on that animal that it did not know what it was supposed to do.
"They (horses) all ran off in different directions and went berserk every time they'd clap the clapperboard to start a scene. My horse ran right into a tree and threw me in a water tank."
And that was just the first day.
Madsen continues, "I had a catheter in my arm because I was sick from eating the food over there. I lost 12 pounds. I was attacked by gnats in the middle of the Romanian jungle and I had to dive into the water while being attacked by bees. It was a very strange experience - on the way to the set I'd come across potato carts and dead horses.
"I don't even know what his movies are about and why he keeps the same theme of people in the jungle and the vampires who ride in from space (sic). What are you doing Uwe? BloodRayne was an abomination... It's a horrifying and preposterous movie."
But, saying all that, Madsen would consider making another movie with the eccentric filmmaker: "Uwe was fun. If he called me tomorrow and wanted me to be in a movie I would do it."
Duchovny Hinted At Sex Addiction Before Entering Rehab

Latest: X-Files star David Duchovny hinted at his struggle with sex addiction in an interview recorded just months prior to his admission to rehab.
The actor, who is married to actress Tea Leoni, checked himself into a rehabilitation facility on Thursday in effort to control his rampant sexual urges.
Earlier this year, Duchovny told Best Life magazine: "Twelve years ago, I would have been hard-pressed to understand why I'd want to be involved sexually with one person this long.
"Before Tea, the longest my intense sexual interest would last would be maybe two years. But the real rewards of a relationship come after you've been together a while. That's where Tea and I are lucky.
"There's nothing wrong with acknowledging the panoply of life's rich experience. You can't control your mind. Why would you want to? You can't feel guilty about being alive, about being a man, about feeling attracted. You can only control your actions."
Duchovny and Leoni share two children, Madelaine, nine, and Kyd, six.
Troy Stars Reteam For Tarantino

German actress Diane Kruger is to reteam with Troy co-star Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino's new war movie Inglorious Bastards.
Kruger will play a German movie star in the film, which features Pitt as a hillbilly leading a band of Jewish vigilante soldiers in World War Two.
She says, "I just found out I'm going to do Tarantino's next film with Brad Pitt and I'm very excited. Quentin just called."
Both stars have been part of the Venice Film Festival in Italy this past week - Pitt was there at the beginning of the week (begs25Aug08) to promote his new film Burn After Reading and host a charity gala, while Kruger was designer Valentino's guest at the premiere of his new documentary.
She's also the face for Swiss watch company Jaeger Le Coutre, the firm behind a lavish party she'll attend on Sunday.
Reporter Asks Theron To Marry Him

A cheeky reporter made Charlize Theron blush at the Venice Film Festival in Italy on Thursday by asking her to marry him and then quizzing her about sleeping arrangements.
The Oscar winner was promoting new film The Burning Plan at a press conference when the unnamed reporter plucked up courage to pop the question.
He asked, "I really like you so much and have a lot of respect for you but I would like to marry you - and I have a question: which side (of the bed) do you prefer to sleep on?"
The quick-thinking actress replied, "The side that you are not on," before joking, "Security! Security! Security!"
She then added, "You are very cute, but you know my boyfriend will kill you."
Theron's longterm beau is Irish actor Stuart Townsend.
She then further confused the world's press by stating, "I am married, I am taken, whatever."
Theron and Townsend have never officially wed, but the pair has always maintained they feel like a married couple.
Nighy Reconciles With Quick?

Latest: Love Actually star Bill Nighy has sparked rumours of a reconciliation with longterm partner Diana Quick after the couple split last week (ends 24Aug08).
Actress Quick was reported to have moved out of the couple's shared London home, ending their 27-year relationship.
And the star subsequently released a statement confirming the break-up.
But Nighy was photographed enjoying a romantic dinner with Quick on Thursday night - fuelling speculation that they might be determined to give their relationship another try.
The pair met on the set of a theatre production in 1981 and have a 24-year-old actress daughter, Mary, together.
Knightley Never Considered Diana Movie Link

Latest: Keira Knightley only realised there was a connection between her new movie The Duchess and Diana, Princess Of Wales after the film was criticised for using footage of the late royal in a promo.
In the new film, Knightley plays Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, a distant relation of Diana - who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
Bosses behind the picture have come under fire for using shots of the late Princess in a trailer for the film and emphasising the link between the lead character and her modern-day descendant.
But Knightley insists she didn't know anything about the Diana connection when making the movie - and admits she doesn't even know that much about the late royal because she was so young when she died.
She says, "I was only 11 when Diana died, so I don't really know much about her story. It didn't even occur to me to portray Georgiana as Diana, as I wasn't conscious of the similarities, and nobody suggested I should. I was always Georgiana, never Diana."
Lohan's Uncle Jailed

Lindsay Lohan's uncle has been sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison for defrauding the U.S. government of terrorist relief funds.
Paul Sullivan was jailed on Thursday after pleading guilty to one count of mail fraud in April 2006 after pocketing $132,000 (GBP71,351) of a $650,000 (GBP351,351) loan from the Small Business Administration (Sba).
The 50-year-old brother of Lohan's mother Dina claimed his car company lost business after terrorist attacks on New York's World Trade Center on 11 September 2001.
Sullivan reportedly broke down in tears in the courtroom when the Long Island, New York judge delivered his sentencing.
He has also been ordered to pay back the $650,000 (GBP351,351) Sba loan.
Hayek's Ex Moves On

Salma Hayek's ex-fiance Francois-henri Pinault has been spotted cosying up to sportswoman Virginie Couperie.
Hayek and the French billionaire, who have a daughter Valentina together, announced their split last month.
And Pinault appears to have moved on already, having been snapped getting close to French equestrian champion Couperie.
The couple was photographed off the coast of Tuscany relaxing on his yacht, swimming together and dining onshore for lunch.
Lohan Brands Father A 'Bully'

Latest: Lindsay Lohan has launched a scathing attack on her father Michael branding him a "bully" and a "public embarrassment".
Lohan has blasted her father in a post on her Myspace internet blog following a bitter war of words which began after Michael criticised the actress' rumoured girlfriend Samantha Ronson earlier this week (beg25Aug08).
Michael Lohan accused the DJ of using his daughter in a bid to raise her profile - and his comments provoked a furious reaction from Ronson and the Mean Girls star herself.
And now the star has threatened to disown her father - insisting she is sick of waiting for him to change his ways.
She writes, "It really hurts, because I have tried. I really tried to make things work. He is yet to change - but this time, without his daughter by his side.
"He has become a public embarrassment and a bully. To my family, my co-workers, my friends, and a girl that means the world to me. His recent attack on my life and my loved ones is simply for an addiction that he has - Fame. If he really cared about me and my life, then he would learn to respect my wishes by staying out of it."
And Lohan insists that recent rumours that Ronson was planning to write a book about their life together are totally unfounded. She adds, "Samantha has not and would never sell me out."
Cyrus' Style Slammed By Runway Host

Teen sensation Miley Cyrus has come under fire from Heidi Klum's fashion guru Tim Gunn for dressing too old for her age.
The Project Runway host has hit out at the 15-year-old Disney star, insisting she dresses "too tarty" for teen audiences.
Gunn tells U.S. magazine Ok!, "Forgive me. She's just a little too tart. I don't want her to look like she's going into a convent school. But it's just a little too much for a 15-year-old. If I didn't know better, I'd swear she was 25."
Jackson 'Looking Forward' To Comeback

Michael Jackson has no plans of retiring from the music scene after turning 50 on Friday - insisting he has "great things" planned ahead in his career.
The superstar has transformed the landscape of pop music since breaking out as a solo artist in 1971 - and he has assured fans not to plan for his departure.
He tells U.S. news show Good Morning America, "I am still looking forward to doing a lot of great things, so that's hard - I think the best is yet to come in my true humble opinion.
"I am expanding a lot of the avenues... people see some of the things I do and say, 'Why don't you show this to the world? People don't know these things!' Well, maybe I will."
But the entertainer admits he still looks back fondly at his trailblazing career, adding his "happiest" times were "the recording of Thriller and the Off the Wall album".
He says, "That meant very much to me and seemed to be received so beautifully by the public and the world. You know, I enjoyed it very much."
Miller Keeps It Real

Actress Sienna Miller shuns bodyguards and limousines - because she likes to pretend she isn't famous.
The Alfie star hit the headlines recently after pictures emerged of her frolicking with married Balthazar Getty last month.
But despite the attentions of the paparazzi, Miller likes to make out she is not in the public eye and steers clear of the trappings of fame.
She says, "When I'm not working, I want to be myself. I don't have assistants, bodyguards or even a driver because I try to pretend in my own head that this isn't happening.
"I think a lot of actresses live in this cotton wool world but I'm very free-spirited and I want to be able to live the life I do."
And, referring to her former relationship with Road To Perdition star Jude Law, she adds: "I was well known before I had a film out but I don't court attention. I don't go to other people's premieres. I haven't been out to a club in London for years."
